Tiffany Espensen Bates is the adopted daughter of Robin (Powell) and Dan Espensen. She is married to Lawson Bates. She is currently expecting her first child.
Early Life
Tiffany Lian Espensen[1] is the (adopted) daughter of Robin and Daniel Espensen. She has an older brother, Erik, from her father’s previous marriage.
Born February 10, 1999[2] in Lianjing, China, Tiffany was found left on the hospital steps[3] and later adopted by Robin and Dan on March 21, 2000.[4] She credits God's Grace for her adoptive family.[5]
Education
On August 22, 2019, she graduated with honours from Liberty University with a degree in Political Science,[1] despite not liking political science.[6] She has a Master’s degree in Christian Theology.[7]
On November 28, 2021, Tiffany made a statement posted to her instagram account regarding the completion of her Masters degree. "I finished my last class on November 13 and I still can’t believe I completed this. My Masters is in “Christian Ministries” from Grand Canyon University and my Bachelor’s is in “Political Science” from Liberty University. Religion and politics, what a combo"[8]
Resume
Television and Film Career
Tiffany began her television career in 2007, appearing in such shows as Disney’s “Hannah Montana” and Fox’s “The ½ Hour News Show”. By 2009 she had a recurring appearance on Disney’s “Phineas and Ferb” as Ginger, as well as Nickelodeon’s “Bucket and Skinner’s Epic Adventures” as Piper. She later played Belinda, a main character in Disney’s “Kirby Buckets” in 2014. The following year she starred in the TV movie “Cabinet of Souls”. In 2017 she joined the MCU as Cindy Moon (aka Silk) in Spider-Man: Homecoming.[9]
In 2019/2020 she appeared in 2 episodes of the TV show Alexa & Katie as Jessica. In 2022, she will appear in the upcoming film "A Christmas Story 3" as Ralphie's girlfriend #3.[10]
Advocacy
Advocacy has always been a major part of Tiffany's life. She has been a vocal advocate for wildlife. Her friendship with Bindi Irwin,[11] daughter of the legendary Steve Irwin, led to her becoming a Wildlife Warriors Global Ambassador for the Australia Zoo at the age of 12.[12] That same year, after volunteering with the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, she held a bake sale in her hometown, benefitting the hospital.[13]

Tiffany is a member of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) national Youth Preparedness Council, representing California as part of the ninth region. She works with her local FEMA regional office in San Diego, helping spread awareness about being prepared for natural disasters throughout Southern California.[14]
She is the Communications and Outreach Director for Well Versed, an organisation that seeks to fix the world’s humanitarian problems by looking to the bible. Well Versed meets weekly with people at the United Nations in Washington, DC. They also hold weekly bible meetings with members of congress called the Jefferson Gatherings, as well as weekly Tanakh meetings with members of the Israeli Parliament called Schindler’s Society. Through her work with Well Versed, she denounces feminism, calling it a movement that encourages women to not have a children and empowers them by murdering their children through abortion.[5]
Family
Lawson Bates
On September 22, 2020 the two began their relationship.[15] On February 4, 2021, it was officially announced that Tiffany was in a relationship with Lawson Bates, when she accompanied him and the rest of the Bates family to Colorado for a ski trip.[16] The two had been spotted together and shared identical instagram posts for several months prior to the announcement.
Engagement
Lawson proposed to Tiffany in Italy, having traveled there for a 'work trip' on October 26, 2021.[17] They traveled through Rome, Tuscany and Florence before Lawson proposed in a villa in Siena.[18]

Marriage
On Thursday, May 12, 2022, Tiffany married Lawson Bates on a yacht in San Diego, California.[19] They were in the San Diego Harbor under the Coronado Bridge.[20]
Motherhood
On December 13, 2023 Tiffany and Lawson revealed via Youtube that they suffered a miscarriage earlier in the year that they named Hope Bates.[21]
On March 5, 2024, Tiffany and Lawson announced they were expecting their first child in Summer 2024.[22]
