Melanie Sue Maxwell is the daughter of Roger and Linda Maher. She is the sister of Jennifer, Rachel, Grace, Anna, Simon, Noah, and Isaiah Maher and Olivia Jansen. She is the wife of Nathan Maxwell. She is the mother of Abby, Bethany, Tina, Drew, Benjamin, and Deborah Maxwell and the late Susannah Maxwell.
Early Life
Melanie Sue Maher was born on September 1, 1975, to Roger and Linda Maher. She is one of eight children, although her birth order is not known.[1]
Family
Marriage
Melanie married Nathan Maxwell on January 26, 2002.[2] Her maid of honor was her sister Jennifer, and her bridesmaids were her sisters Rachel, Grace, and Anna Maher and Olivia Jansen and her future sister-in-law Sarah Maxwell. Her brothers Simon, Noah, and Isaiah Maher were among the groomsmen. Her future sister-in-law Mary Maxwell was her flower girl.[3][4]
Motherhood
Melanie and Nathan decided when getting married to allow God to decide how many children they had.[5] They struggled with infertility through the first four years of their marriage.[6]
On October 10, 2006, Nathan and Melanie announced that they were expecting their first child.[7] On February 15, 2007, Melanie was admitted to the hospital after having contractions at 28 weeks.[8] On March 21, 2007, their first child, Susannah, was born. She never moved or opened her eyes, and three days later she passed away.[9]

On November 8, 2007, Nathan and Melanie announced that they were expecting again, with a due date in late June.[10] Just before 2:00 am on May 18, 2008, they welcomed Abigail "Abby" Hope into the world. She was born via a C-section at 34 and a half weeks and spent time in the NICU.[11][12] She was released from the NICU on May 29, 2008.[13]

On October 15, 2009, Nathan and Melanie announced they were pregnant.[14] On October 28, 2009, they announced that they had miscarried.[15]
On March 8, 2010, Nathan and Melanie announced they were pregnant.[16] On August 13, 2010, Bethany Faith was born.[17]
On November 8, 2011, Nathan and Melanie announced they were pregnant.[18] On June 15, 2012, Christina "Tina" Mercy was born.[19]

On February 14, 2014, Nathan and Melanie announced they were pregnant, with a due date in mid-August.[20] On May 5, 2014, they announced that this child would be a boy.[21] On July 5, 2014, Andrew "Drew" James was born.[22]
On September 29, 2016, Nathan and his wife announced that they were expecting again.[23] On February 21, 2017, Benjamin Steven was born.[24]
On December 12, 2018, Melanie and Nathan announced that they are pregnant again. On May 13, 2019, Deborah Carol was born.[25]
