Annabell Forsyth was the stillborn daughter of Austin and Joy Forsyth. She was expected to be their second child, the younger sister of Gideon Forsyth.

Joy and Austin's pregnancy announcement

On May 1, 2019, Joy and Austin Forsyth announced that they were expecting their second child, who was due in November of 2019.[1]

On May 7, 2019, Joy shared a video of the 10-week ultrasound, which is dated April 10, 2019.[2] This places the due date somewhere in the first week of November.

On May 30, 2019, Joy's sister-in-law Anna Duggar confirmed in the comments of a photo on her own instagram account that Joy was due in November.[3]

Stillbirth

On July 3, 2019, Joy and Austin announced that she had lost her pregnancy. On June 26, 2019, the couple went in for their 20-week ultrasound and learned that the baby, a girl, did not have a heartbeat or movement.

They chose to name the baby Annabell Elise: "Annabell means “God has favored me”, and Elise means “God satisfies”. What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus."[4]

Joy's best friend, Carlin Stewart, as well as her sister Jill and her mother Michelle were there when she delivered.

On June 30, 2023, Joy and Austin posted a video about the four year anniversary of losing Annabell. In the video Joy states July 1 would be her birthday.[5]

Burial

Joy and Austin Buried Annabell on his family's property in Fort Rock, Arkansas in a quiet, private part of the woods.
