Faith Baptist Church is located in Water Valley, Mississippi. It has been led by Pastor Robert “Bob” D Hill Jr since July 9, 2000.[1] The church defines itself as “independent, fundamental, and evangelistic” while supporting missionaries all over the world. It is most known for its connection the Hill family.
Beliefs
Statement of Faith
- We believe in the verbal inspiration and authority of the Scriptures.
- We believe that the Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way of salvation, and God's plan and purpose in the ages.
- We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity, virgin birth, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- We believe that salvation is "by grace" plus nothing and minus nothing. The conditions to salvation are repentance and faith alone and are accounted righteous before God only through the merit of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the visibile, personal, and premillennial return of Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.[2]
Statement of Confidence
Whereas there are in circulation a number of so called versions, paraphrases, and translations of the Bible; we do state that Faith Baptist Church in all its ministries exclusively uses and confines its confidence in the Authorized King James Version (KJV) of The Holy Bible as being the inspired, preserved Word of God.[2]
Ministries
Faith Baptist Church has a Faith Promise Mission that supports missionaries all over the world. They currently have missionaries in the US state of Georgia (reaching out to Hispanic America), New York state (reaching out to Jews), Uganda, Moldova, Paraguay, Asia, and the United Kingdom.[3]
The church offers a full sunday school program for all ages from nursery up to and including adults.[4]
The church also offers a home school support ministry to provide practice help to the christian home.[4]
