On February 14, 2016, Chad and Erin Paine announced that they were expecting their second child, who was due that summer.

They later said that their second child, who they would name Brooklyn Elise, was due in August. The name Brooklyn was one that Erin adored, and Elise is Erin's middle name, which Chad adored. They said the pregnancy was going more easily than Erin's pregnancy with Carson had been.

Birth

At 5:42 am on August 6, 2016, Brooklyn Elise Paine was born to Chad and Erin Paine. She weighed 6 pounds and 6 ounces. In a joint statement, the couple said, "Our hearts are overflowing with joy at the arrival of our sweet Brooklyn! We have looked forward to this day with so much hope, anticipation and excitement. God has answered many prayers and calmed many fears throughout this pregnancy, and to hold our little princess in our hands for the first time is truly a miracle and dream come true."

Television Appearances

Before Brooklyn was even born, she was the subject of several episodes of the fourth season of the UpTV show Bringing Up Bates. These episodes included her parents' pregnancy announcement and pregnancy updates. Her birth was the subject of the episode "And Baby Makes Five?", which first aired on October 27, 2016.
