Addallee Hope "Addee" Bates is the fifteenth of Gil and Kelly Bates's nineteen children.

Early Life

Addallee Hope "Addee" Bates was born on February 17, 2006, to Gil Bates and Kelly Jo Callaham. She was the couple's fifteenth child, and they went on to have four more children after her. She weighed only 4 pounds and 13 ounces when she came home from the NICU. She was born with complications that caused her breathing and heart to stop, and she was given several sets of double letters in her name as a reminder that God gave her a second chance.

Addallee is currently homeschooled. She is being brought up as an active participant of the Institute in Basic Life Principles.

She is said to be a thoughtful child who always puts others first, often giving up her own turns to make a sibling happy.

Career

Television Career

Addallee appeared on the TLC show 19 Kids and Counting many times as a child. In 2012, TLC aired one season of the show United Bates of America, which focused on Addallee's family. In 2015, UpTV began airing a similar show, Bringing Up Bates, which ended after 10 seasons. Addallee is regularly featured in both shows.
